Diversity in Animal Science
About Our Founder
A true lover of animals, Sarah is a rising Senior Honors Animal Science student at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Her goal is to pursue a career in an animal health related discipline. In the next ten years, she sees herself working in the intersection between animal health, human health, and medicine. She also hopes to assist with and leave a lasting impact on global food security.

Sarah has always cherished animals, and her early life was driven by scientific fascination and discovery. She fueled her love for animals through internships, camps, clubs, competitions, and community service ventures (including over 500 hours at Zoo Atlanta). The more activities she took on, the clearer her passion for animals became.

More recently throughout her undergraduate career, Sarah has developed a passion for research through numerous undergraduate research positions, including a recent summer Poultry Clinical Internship at Zoetis Inc., one of the largest animal pharmaceutical companies in the world. While she's still honing on exactly what she'll do with her degree, she suspects that it will involve health, research, and community outreach.

In her free time, Sarah loves to cook, paint, shop, play with her dogs Gravy and Chilly, and pursue her various entrepreneurial interests.
